From 1702 to 1704 a first periodical was published in Munich, bearing the title "Die Nutz- und Lust-erweckende Gesellschafft Der Vertrauten Nachbarn am Isarstrom" ("The useful and pleasurable company of close neighbours on the river Isar"). The publication propagated Bavarian-patriotic and strictly Catholic ideas and was created in the environment of the Munich court at the beginning of the Spanish war of succession.
